Golden Boot - Paddy Hits the Big 30

Paddy McGeown might have been rained off last week, but he was back with a bang this weekend – smashing in two to increase his lead at the top of the table back to eight.

Paddy McGeown, U17 Star – 30 goals. Can he hold onto an

eight goal lead? Still a bit to go yet, but he’s looking good.

The 11s had a disappointing match and Conaill Taggart came away empty handed. So he sees Paddy’s lead creep back up to eight goals.

Conaill Taggart, U11 – in 2nd place

on 22. Don’t write him off just yet.

He’s capable of banging in a bag full

of goals between now and the end of

the season.

No change in the rest of the table. Conall Breen of the 13s now sits three goals behind Conaill on 19.

Conall Breen, U13 –3rd on 19.

Last year’s winner, Conor George, sits two behind Conall, with 17 goals to date.

Conor George, u15 – in 4th on 17.

Then comes the terrible trio it fifth place. Liam Gibson of the 15s, Brendan Blaney of 16 Star and the under 13s’ Joe Mellon. They are on sweet 16.

Joe Mellon, U13 –5th.

Brendan Blaney, U16 – 5th as well.

Liam Gibson, U14 - also

in the crowded 5th
