Over the Christmas break, the under 10s went on a trip to Solitude to train with Cliftonville’s Development school and watch Cliftonville’s premiership match.

We have put some photos of the day onto the website for your enjoyment. As for the day itself, Dara McMullen of the 10s has given us this report.

When we arrived at the gates of the stadium we met Michael a club official who told us the history of Cliftonville FC. He was good craic and made us all welcome. He took us into the media room where we met ‘Red Arnie’ the club mascot and then he brought in some of the players to talk to us and we were able to take photos. He then presented us with Cliftonville hats, scarfs and water bottles which we loved. We had great seats beside the pitch but the best bit was a half time we were allowed to set up small posts and play 2 matches on the pitch. It was amazing to play in front of all the fans and they gave us a big cheers at the final whistle.
