Golden Boot

While Paddy still leads reasonably comfortably after this weekend’s fixtures, Conaill took advantage of a free week for Paddy by putting two in the net at Clarendon on Saturday morning. Now on 20 goals, he has cut Paddy’s lead to just (just!) six.

With two weeks of February now over, Paddy leads with 26 goals, while Conaill increases his tally to 20.

Paddy McGeown, U17 Star – 26 goals. Still ahead, but it’s got

Conaill Taggart, U11 – in 2nd place.

Back scoring, now on 20.

No change at third, with the trio of Brendan Blaney of 16 Star and under 13 double act, Joe Mellon and Conall Breen. They have 16 goals apiece.

Joe Mellon, U13 –3rd. Could the king of

the Cage be the Boss of the Boot?

Conall Breen, U13 – also 3rd. The 13s

hunt in packs, but who will get the prey?

Brendan Blaney, U16 – 3rd. Will he be

Brendan “the Boot” Blaney come club day?

Just one behind the threesome in third sits Conor George of 15 Star with 15 goals. He has been joined by Liam Gibson, of the14s, who also scored this weekend.

Conor George, U15 –4th. That’s the Boot

in his hand. They want it, they gonna have

to take it!

Liam Gibson, U14 – 4 goals in two

games put him in joint 4th with 15.

A four goal deluge by the under 11s’ Joe Logan sees him catapult up the table to join renowned under 13 goal scorer, Ryan Creaney in fifth place, on 13 goals.

Ryan Creaney, U13 – joint 5th with

13 goals.

Joe Logan, U11 – four goals this

weekend sees him join team mate

Conaill Taggart in the top five.
