GOLDEN GLOVE – JACK’S LEAD NARROWS BUT IT’S STILL A NIFTY LEAD
Two clean sheets this week, which see the gap at the top narrow slightly as second and third break away from the pack.
Jack McCrea still heads the table as we go into month six of the fixtures. He continues to sit on ten.
JacK McCrea, Sen – still sitting pretty.
Under 14 keeper, Pearse Lynch kept a clean sheet this weekend, his fifth of the campaign to move closer to Jack.
Pearse Lynch, U14 – 5 clean sheets. Could he make a last
minute dash to the Glove.
16s’ keeper, Che Clarke, kept his third clean sheet in a row, to sneak past Steven Hughes of the 15s, into third place on his own. Could Che be one to watch as well as the season approaches the business end? He now sits on four shut outs.
Che Clarke, U16 – 3rd. Like Pearse, one to
keep an eye on in the weeks ahead.
Steven Hughes of 15 Star has three clean sheets for the season so far. He sits in fourth as the field begins to open up a bit.
Steven Hughes, U15 – three clean sheets.
Just behind Steven comes the fifth place foursome of Gavin McDonald of the Seconds, Conall Bohill of the 18s, Reuban Carleton of the 17s and Oisin Kavanagh of the 11s. They are on two.
Gavin McDonald, Sen – he is a
previous winner, in joint 5th.
Conall Bohill, U18 – joint 5th on two.
Reuban Carleton, U17 – joint 5th.
Oisin Kavanagh, U11 – our youngest
keeper in the chase, also joint 5th.
We continue to have ten keepers on one clean sheet. Conor McGeown of the Seconds, Eoghan Turkington, Stephen McVeigh, Mark Hamill and Tiarnan McCullough all at under 18. Then there’s also under 17 keeper, Reuban Carleton, the 11s’ Conor Friel, under 13s’ Luke Cullinan, Conal Devlin of 14 Star, and Kayo Dobrolowski of the 15s.
