GOLDEN GLOVE – JACK’S HIGH FIVES AT THE TOP
Three clean sheets this week, but none that affect Jack McCrea at the top of the table. He stills sits majestically at the summit – nine clean sheets, leading by a high five.
JacK McCrea, Sen – didn’t
play this week but his lead
Under 14 keeper, Pearse Lynch, continues to sit in second place with four clean sheets to date.
Pearse Lynch, U14 – 4 clean sheets makes him Jack’s
nearest challenger. Biding his time, maybe.
Steven Hughes of 15 Star remains in place place with three clean sheets. It’s still a mighty gap to close if he’s to launch a challenge.
Steven Hughes, U15 – three clean sheets.
The fourth place threesome of Gavin McDonald of the Seconds, Conall Bohill of the 18s and Reuban Carleton of the 17s have been joined by two of this weeks clean sheet keepers, Che Clarke of 16 Star and Oisin Kavanagh of the 11s. They are all on two.
Gavin McDonald, Sen – he is a
previous winner but taking it easy
this year. Or is he?
Conall Bohill, U18 – two clean
sheets in two games puts Conall in
the chasing pack.
Reuban Carleton, U17 – two clean
sheets as well. Also plays outfield,
so mightn’t get the opportunity to
launch a late challenge.
Oisin Kavanagh, U11 – our youngest
keeper in the chase. Will he go for it
in the second half of the season?
Che Clarke, U16 – also on two after
Conor McGeown of the Seconds also kept a clean sheet this weekend to join the table for the first time. This means there are now nine keepers on one clean sheet. Three are under 18, Eoghan Turkington, Stephen McVeigh and Tiarnan McCullough. Then there’s also under 17 keeper, Reuban Carleton, the 11s’ Conor Friel, under 13s’ Luke Cullinan, Conal Devlin of 14 Star, and Kayo Dobrolowski of the 15s.
