GOLDEN GLOVE – JACK STILL LEADS BUT GAP NARROWS
Another two clean sheets this week, from both under 15 keepers. They saw the gap at the top narrow by one and also saw one of last year’s winners, kayo Dobrolowski enter the table for the first time.
Jack McCrea still sits at the top of the heap with a very impressive nine clean sheets. His lead has been narrowed slightly by Steven Hughes of 15 Star. A clean sheet early in the week sees him move into second place on his own with three clean sheets.
JacK McCrea, Sen – his lead
has been paired back by one
but would you bet against him?
Steven Hughes, U15 – three clean sheets. Is a
challenge to Jack now a possibility?
A long way back from Jack, and one behind Steven sits the four strong posse of Pearse Lynch of the 14s, Gavin McDonald of the Seconds, Conall Bohill of the 18s and Reuban Carleton of the. They are all on two.
Pearse Lynch, U14 – got off to a flying start, two in his first
Gavin McDonald, Sen – he is a previous winner
but the gap is too big, surely, for Gavin to win
Conall Bohill, U18 – two clean
sheets in two games for this make
Reuban Carleton, U17 – two clean sheets
With Kayo joining the party, we now have ten keepers on one clean sheet. Three are under 18, Eoghan Turkington, Stephen McVeigh and Tiarnan McCullough. Then there’s also under 17 keeper, Reuban Carleton, the 11s’ Conor Friel and Oisin Kavanagh, under 13s’ Luke Cullinan, Conal Devlin of 14 Star, Che Clarke of 16 Star and Kayo himself, of course.
