Golden Boot
GOLDEN BOOT – SEVEN HEAVEN STILL FOR PADDY

Our top two had a quiet weekend, as you’ll see from the pictures. No goals, so no change. Paddy leads by seven, 21 goals to Conall’s 14.

Paddy McGeown, U17 Star – still 1st, no need to rush.

Conaill Taggart, U11 – in 2nd place. He’s
confident he’ll catch up, so time for a nap.
Aha, though, while Paddy and Conaill have been taking it easy, scoremeister Mellon, Jow of the under 13s, has been beavering away. Another goal this weekend, sees him draw level with Conaill in second place, also with fourteen goals now.

Joe Mellon, U13 – Joe’s in joint 2nd and
has Paddy and Conaill in his sights.
Brendan Blaney of 16 Star sits just one behind Conaill and Joe on thirteen goals, in third place.

Brendan Blaney, U16 – 3rd on 13. He
wants a hat trick from Santa for Christmas.
Last year’s winner of the Boot, Conor George, sits just behind Brendan, on twelve goals. He has been joined by the under 13s’ Conall Breen and Ryan Creaney, who both scored this weekend. Indeed, they seem inseparable, when one scores, the other does too. They maintain yet another under 13 challenge.

Conor George, U15 – 4th on 12. Could
still retain the Boot. A hat trick or two
might do the trick.

Ryan Creaney, U13 – joins Conor
in joint 4th spot with twelve.

Conall Breen, U13 – also in joint 4th
With twelve goals. The under 13s
ain’t going away.
Fifth spot is held jointly by John Connor of the 13s – yes, another one – and Sean Boyle of the 18s. They sit on ten goals. It’s a bit behind, but the gap is not insurmountable. Watch this space.

John Connor, U13 – his goal moves him
Into joint 5th place, on ten.

Sean Boyle, U18 – can dance as well! In
joint 5th on ten. Could yet jive his way to
the Boot.
