Golden Boot

November 7, 2018

We went into Halloween with Conaill Taggart of the 11s still in the lead and we come out the other end, apples dunked, pockets stashed with treats and sweets, and Conaill still sits there at the top of the table with 14 goals.

There’s no change in the top two, with Paddy McGeown just behind on 13.

Conaill Taggart, U11 – ahead by one.

Paddy McGeown, U17 – just one goal behind.

Last year’s winner, Conor George of 15 Star, doesn’t intend to hand the Boot back just yet. Two from him at the weekend sees him jump into third place. He joins the other Conall, Conall Breen of the 13s, on nine goals apiece.

Conor George, U15 – Conor knows what it

takes to win the Golden Boot. His two goals

send a message – he hasn’t gone away.

Behind Conor and Conaill come two more under 13s Ryan Creaney and John Connor. They are just one behind on eight goals. The under 13 party has been gate crashed by Sean Boyle of the 18s. His hat trick puts him on eight goals too.

John Connor, U13 – another under 13

Ryan Creaney, U13 – the 13s mean

business this year.

Sean Boyle, U18 – the oldies can score

In fifth place comes another under 13, Joseph Mellon on seven goals. Joe has been joined by Brendan Blaney of 16 Star. He scored two at the weekend, to sit on seven also for the season so far.
