Conaill Taggart’s hat trick at the weekend sees him increase his lead at the top of the Golden Boot table to three. With eight goals in two games, he sits on nine goals so far this season.

Conaill Taggart, U11 – a hat trick after his five goals last weekend keeps him at the top. Can he maintain the pace, though, against an old hand like Paddy?

Tthe 17’s Paddy McGeown scored one at the weekend to maintain the early challenge. He now sits on six.

Paddy McGeown, U17 – 6 goals. Sitting 2nd, might just fancy the Boot this year.

In third place, just one behind Paddy, on five goals is the under 13s’ Conall Breen,

Conall Breen, U13 – five in the first month man. Can he keep it going and grab the Boot?

In fourth place we have three players, all sitting on four goals. Conaill’s team mate, Odhran Black and Jude Holohan of the 18s are joined by John Connor, who netted one this weekend.

Odhran Black, U12 – four goals in one game. he also has his eye on the Boot at the end of the season.

Jude Holohan, U18 – got a hat trick in his first match. Can he beat off Paddy and the munchkins of the 11s and 13s to take the award back for the older end of the club?

John Connor, U13 – has scored in two of his three games and looks to be up for the long haul.

On three goals, we have two more under 11s – Max Burns and Sean Cunningham, 15 Star’s Dara Toland, Techin McGarvey and Joseph Mellon of the 13s, Liam Finegan opf the 17s and this week’s hat trick hero, Thomas Lloyd of the 14s.

It’s still very tight, its still very early. One good haul of goals could change everything. Keep watching this site.
