SENIORS RAISE £1,230 FOR MOTOR NEURONE DISEASE RESEARCH
Following the death of former coach, Damien O’Neill, from a motor neurone disease, the Seniors organised a match among themselves last weekend at Rathmore to raise money for the Motor Neurone Disease Association. The coaches and managers raised an impressive £1,230. Thanks to the Senior players and coaches involved. It was a tremendous gesture.

DAMIEN O’NEILL R.I.P
The club has learned with sadness of the death in his early fifties of Damien O’Neill, a former coach of the club. Damien, seen here on the left in the coaches’ row, coached the 2001 boys for a couple of years and his son Patrick played for the 2001s from mini soccer up to under 16. PADDY McGEOWN WINS THE GOLDEN BOOT
Congratulations to Paddy McGeown, who has tonight won the Golden Boot. It’s been a great contest this year. Firstly, Conaill Taggart kept the pressure on Paddy, then Brendan Blaney mounted a late challenge and almost brought it off. However, it was not to be and Paddy has been crowned as 2018/2019 Golden Boot winner. While this is a great achievement for Paddy, his winning the Boot also creates a little bit of Aquinas history.
