FIRSTS PROMOTED TO INTERMEDIATE LEAGUE
The Firsts have been promoted to the Intermediate league and will play in Division 1C next year. Well done and congratulations to Noel, Stephen, John and the players. Well done and congratulations to John and Pascal with the Seconds who also won promotion. It really is a spectaular achievement when you think about it. The Firsts played their first match in August 2010 and we have gone from Division 3 of the Belfast and District League to the Intermediate league in eight years

SUMMER CAMP – MONDAY 2 JULY TO FRIDAY 6 JULY 2018
Where does the time go?? It hardly seems that we got the Easter camp out of the way when the Summer camp is roaring down the tracks at us. MINI SOCCER MEDALS – CLUB DAY
It’s this way! All mini soccer players receive medals at club day in recognition of their hard work and endeavour during the year. And well deserved too! A big thank you to Neil, Maurice, Paul and all the other coaches who turn up on Saturday mornings. Remember, mini soccer’s not over yet. we’ve a couple of weeks to go still.

PRESENTATION OF CUPS
Each year, the cups and trophies our teams win are presented to the boys on club day. This year, the under 9s picked up a trophy at the Rosario tournament held in May. They seem pleased with it! 13 Star won the league with a couple of games to spare and went unbeaten in the league all year. Well done to David, Conor and the boys. PLAYERS OF THE YEAR 2017/2018
The players of the year, selected by the team managers were: Under 12: Joe Mellon and Myles Harbinson Under 13: Conor Logue (who else) and Thomas Hale. Conor was selected for the SBYFL under 13 team to go to the Costa del Sol tournament to represent the league. Well done , Conor. doesn’t mean you have to smile, though! THE SWEETS … OH, AND TAYLOR SWIFT
This year the guess the number of sweets in the jar included two tickets for Taylor Swift in Croke Park. I think she’s playing Offaly, but not sure. An awful lot of fathers seemed really interested in guessing the number of sweets, mind you. They must all have sweet tooths.
