If Training or Matches are Cancelled

How will I know if my match has been called off?

The major cause of match cancellations is, not surprisingly, bad weather. There is a bad weather drill which managers go through on Fridays. Your manager will contact you on Friday evening if the game has been called off.

In adition, we will try to post the news of cancellations to the Notice Board, found on the Home page.

Please remember, though, that often matches might only be called off on a Saturday morning once a referee or league official has a chance to inspect the pitches. Consequently, there will be occasions when you, and your mangers, have made your way to the pitch intending to play a game of football, only to find that the pitch has been ruled unplayable.

If you have not heard from your manager on Friday evenings, or if there is no notice on the Notice Board, you should assume the match is on and make your way to the pitch as normal.
